Our ectopic pregnancy video hubs explores what this type of pregnancy is, the causes, symptoms, and what to look out for. Whether you're worried about unusual pregnancy symptoms or just want to be informed, our trusted guides are here to help you understand ectopic pregnancy and when to seek medical advice.
Overview
An ectopic pregnancy happens when a fertilised egg implants outside the womb, most often in a fallopian tube.
Causes
Ectopic pregnancies are usually caused by something that blocks or slows the egg’s journey through the fallopian tube, such as scarring from an infection or surgery.
Symptoms
Signs of an ectopic pregnancy can include sharp tummy pain, unusual vaginal bleeding, and shoulder tip pain. If something doesn’t feel right, it’s important to get checked quickly.
