A Dra. Michelle Wright se formou em 1997 no Reino Unido e trabalhou como médica de clínica geral em Londres antes de se mudar para a Suíça. Ela é autora da EMIS desde 2007.
Michelle previously worked as a locum GP in England but now works part-time as a doctor in the Medical Service of the International Labour Organisation, Geneva, Switzerland. Her work there includes carrying out medical examinations, helping with staff health queries, dealing with emergency medical situations, travel medicine and staff health promotion.
Michelle is also Medical Director of HealthFirst, a Swiss company delivering First Aid training and health education seminars to individual members of the public, schools, businesses and international organisations. She has a regular radio show "Health Matters", broadcast on World Radio Switzerland and Mountain Radio Verbier, providing health education and advice.
