Milk thistle (specifically the component silymarin) can slow down the proteins in the gut and liver that normally pump berberine out of cells or break it down. This allows more berberine to stay in your system for longer.

Treatment and medication
Can I take Folitrax and Hqtor together?
Taking Folitrax (methotrexate) and Hqtor (hydroxychloroquine) together can increase the risk of side effects, particularly those affecting the liver. However, these two medicines are very commonly prescribed together by specialists to treat conditions like rheumatoid arthritis. While they work well as a team to control inflammation, they require careful monitoring.

Treatment and medication
Can I take Desmopressin and Ketoconazole together?
Taking these two medicines together can significantly increase the amount of desmopressin in your blood. This can lead to your body holding onto too much water, which can cause a dangerous drop in your blood salt levels (hyponatraemia). Symptoms to watch for include severe headache, nausea, vomiting, confusion, or feeling very drowsy.
