Why this happens
Enalapril works by relaxing blood vessels, partly through substances called prostaglandins. Aspirin (especially at higher doses) blocks the production of these prostaglandins, which can stop enalapril from working as well. Both drugs also affect how the kidneys filter blood; when used together, they can reduce blood flow to the kidneys.

Avoid taking high-dose aspirin (for pain or fever) regularly while on enalapril. If you notice you are passing less urine than usual or have swelling in your ankles, contact your doctor.
