Can I take Adcal d3 and Bisoprolol together?

Why this happens

Calcium can sometimes interfere with how beta-blockers like bisoprolol work on the heart and blood vessels. Additionally, vitamin D (in Adcal-D3) helps the body absorb calcium; if calcium levels become too high (hypercalcaemia), it can counteract the heart-slowing effects of bisoprolol.

It is generally safe to take these together, but you should have your blood pressure and heart rate monitored regularly by your GP. If you experience symptoms like palpitations, extreme tiredness, or feeling sick, speak to your doctor. Try to take the two medicines at different times of the day (for example, bisoprolol in the morning and Adcal-D3 in the evening) to minimise any impact on absorption.
