Taking Accrete D3 at the same time as Madopar CR can significantly reduce how much of the Parkinson's medication your body absorbs. This could make your Madopar CR less effective, potentially causing your Parkinson's symptoms (like tremors or stiffness) to return or worsen.

Why this happens
Accrete D3 contains calcium. Calcium can bind to the levodopa in Madopar CR in the digestive tract, forming a complex that the body cannot absorb into the bloodstream.
What you should do
Back to contentsYou should separate the doses of these two medicines by at least 2 to 3 hours. Do not stop taking either medication without speaking to your doctor or pharmacist first, as they may need to monitor your symptoms more closely.

This medicine can cause you to fall asleep suddenly without warning. Do not drive or operate machinery if you experience excessive daytime sleepiness or sudden sleep episodes.
Impulse control disorders
You may experience unusual urges, such as addictive gambling, excessive eating or spending, or an abnormally high sex drive. Tell your doctor immediately if you or your family notice these behaviours.
Mental health changes
This medicine can cause hallucinations, confusion, or depression. Seek medical advice if you experience significant changes in your mood or see things that are not there.
Kidney stones/Kidney failure
Do not take this if you have severe kidney failure or a history of kidney stones, as the high calcium content can worsen these conditions.
