Can I take 75 and Evorel together?

Drug interaction guide

There is no known direct interaction between aspirin 75mg and Evorel (HRT) patches. However, both medications can affect your blood and circulation in different ways. Evorel (estrogen) can slightly increase the risk of blood clots, while aspirin 75mg is usually prescribed to thin the blood and prevent clots.

Why this happens

Aspirin 75mg works by making the platelets in your blood less 'sticky' to prevent clots. Evorel contains estradiol, which can slightly increase the levels of certain clotting factors in the blood. While they do not interfere with how each other is processed by the body, they have opposing effects on the blood's clotting system.

It is generally safe to use these together if they have both been prescribed by your doctor. In fact, many women take low-dose aspirin alongside HRT to manage cardiovascular risks. You should ensure your doctor is aware you are using both. Seek immediate medical help if you experience signs of a blood clot, such as sudden leg swelling, chest pain, or shortness of breath.
