Can I take 50 and Famotidine together?

Why this happens

Dasatinib (50) needs a very acidic environment in the stomach to dissolve properly so it can be absorbed into your bloodstream. Famotidine is an H2 blocker that reduces stomach acid. By making the stomach less acidic, famotidine prevents the dasatinib from dissolving and entering your system.

You should not take famotidine while you are being treated with dasatinib. If you have symptoms of heartburn or acid reflux, speak to your doctor or specialist. They may suggest using an antacid (like Gaviscon or Rennie) instead, but these must be taken at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after your dasatinib dose.
