Why this happens

Both medicines can lower blood pressure and slow the heart rate. Additionally, bisoprolol can sometimes interfere with sleep or cause vivid dreams, while zopiclone is a sedative. Combining them can increase the 'calming' effect on the central nervous system and the cardiovascular system.

You should use caution when taking these together. It is best to avoid or strictly limit alcohol, as it will make the drowsiness much worse. Be careful when getting up from a sitting or lying position, as you may feel dizzy. Do not drive or operate machinery until you are certain you are not affected by drowsiness the following day. If you feel extremely dizzy, faint, or have a very slow pulse, contact your doctor.
